Six hours of eternity,
Unspeakable tortuous pain for me,
Bleeding freshly from every pore,
Agony rocked my very core.
Merciless sores were suffered for you,
Every sin of man flowed through,
Lungs screaming with suffocation,
Bleeding hands held your salvation.
A crown of thorns worn for all,
Made rivulets of blood to fall,
Into my eyes with tears that stung,
While on a rugged cross I hung.
Beaten, tortured, stripped, and nailed,
Conceding to the life you failed,
Offering up my spirit of gold,
Bearing the sin of your lost soul.
I taught, healed, suffered, and died,
For all mankind who sinned and lied,
My purpose for this world fulfilled,
Surrendering to my Father’s will.
Mourning the sorrow of your pain,
My life to give; your life to gain,
I cried to the Father for your redemption,
As well as those with cruel intention.
Six hours of eternity,
Then darkness shook the land and sea,
My excruciation came to an end,
An eternity spent at the cost of sin.
Unspeakable tortuous pain for me,
Bleeding freshly from every pore,
Agony rocked my very core.
Merciless sores were suffered for you,
Every sin of man flowed through,
Lungs screaming with suffocation,
Bleeding hands held your salvation.
