A bud of faith,
Took years to wait,
For leaves to unravel,
Life’s precious petals.
Stems growing longer,
And getting much stronger,
With deepening hues,
In each year of truth.
A bud of faith,
Grown out of waste,
From a heart defiled
As an unwanted child.
It came by chance,
To make her heart dance,
On a Bible school day,
God sent her way.
A bud of faith,
A good heart makes,
To a child forsaken,
With love not awakened.
Going through life,
Knowing wrong from right.
Yet somehow she forgets,
And is filled with regrets.
A bud of faith,
Ignores the hate,
That belittles the young,
With a bitter tongue.
It starts with a leaf,
That grows to defeat,
Words from the devil,
Denying all evil.
A bud of faith,
Lets sunlight bathe,
Drying up tears,
And chasing fears,
It’s a thing of beauty,
With a solemn duty,
To make for peace,
And love without cease.
A bud of faith
Expanding so great,
And lives on His vine,
For a lifetime.
It will not perish,
It lives with relish,
Defying all doom,
When it comes to full bloom.
Took years to wait,
For leaves to unravel,
Life’s precious petals.
Stems growing longer,
And getting much stronger,
With deepening hues,
In each year of truth.
A bud of faith,
